Biography
Kate Barnes concentrates her legal practice in all aspects of Family Law, such as divorce, custody, child support & alimony, paternity, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and restraining orders (both financial and physical), and Criminal Defense, such as drunk driving, drug offenses, sex offenses, traffic offenses, domestic violence, and juvenile offenses
Attorney Barnes is a graduate of Vermont Law School, Harvard University, and the University of Rochester. Following graduation from Vermont Law School, Attorney Barnes was a law clerk for the Asset Forfeiture Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston, Massachusetts. Thereafter, Attorney Barnes served as an Assistant District Attorney in Essex County, Massachusetts, and then joined a private practice in Boston, where she practiced Family Law, Criminal Defense, and Trusts & Estates Law.
In 2008, Attorney Barnes founded the Law Office of Kate A. Barnes, focusing primarily on Family Law and Criminal Defense.
